U13 Boys stage thrilling come back
The Barnardiston Boys' Under 13A team continue to play their hockey this season with great attacking verve with an emphasis on exciting open play but, once again, failure to capitalise on their dominating possession and a frustrating failure to take their chances meant that the team found themselves staring defeat in the face, 2-4 down with barely three minutes remaining. However, the Barnardiston boys staged a thrilling finale, mounting attack after attack and finally their pressure counted as first Tom Addison scored with a well placed shot. We drew level with virtually the last hit of the match as David Jimoh fired home the equalizer. Earlier, Jack Krempel and Nick Butler had twice given Barnardiston the lead in a fast-paced first half. On the coldest day of the year, the two teams must be congratulated on producing a wonderfully entertaining game.
